The thing about genealogy is that you soon realise that your own family is interlinked to loads more by historical marriages. And instead of just trying to find your own direct ancestors you end up trying to determine which of the many Joe Smith's or Jane Brown's is the right Joe Smith or Jane Brown that married your ancestor. And it's important to get the right person or you can waste weeks chasing down the wrong link.

Also doesn't help when your own direct ancestors use the same first/christian names - i.e. when a son has the same name as his father.

So far I have identified many interlinked families as shown by this growing list, over and above the 4 main family groups - Hyde, Davies, Priday and Sheward all of whom have direct menu links shown above.
