This branch of the Wynn family starts in 1791 in Stroud, Gloucestershire, England with the birth of Samuel Wynn.
Very little is known of Samuel other than his birth date - 23 May 1791, his birth area - Stroud, Gloucestershire, his marriage to Rachael Churches on 5 October 1823 in Minchinhampton, Gloucestershire and his death in January 1847 in the Stroud area. It seems that at some time during his life he became a Chimney Sweep and passed that "trade" onto his offspring.

Samuel Wynn was the great-grandfather of the wife of one of my 2nd cousins, twice removed and is linked to my Mother's family by marriage.
