Aberdovey 2001

Aberdovey (English translation of the name = town at the mouth of the Dovey estuary), is a small fishing port that was once an important Slate industry port and is now a holiday resort approx 30 miles south of Fairbourne.

Because the main car park is right behind the sand dunes and immediately adjacent to the small harbour and main shopping street, it was always a favourite of Mom & Dad. In happier days they would wander around trhe harbour and town eventually ending up sitting in the dunes to "get a bit of sun" (as Dad would say).

2001 was their last visit to a place full of memories from happy days past and these few photos were shot by Dad.
